Saturday, February 16, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Free with museum admissionSoil Saturdays are a series of monthly hands-on activity days inviting visitors to explore Dig It! The Secrets of Soils. In February, we invite you to play with clay!

Clay is a major component of soils—it helps soils to hold moisture and nutrients. Clay is also part of our everyday life from pottery, to bricks, to the tiles on the space shuttle. On Clay Day, visit with clay artists, get hands on exposure to different types of clay from fine ceramics to rustic stoneware. Plus, create your very own clay pendant to take home!
