Hi everyone! I grew up in southwestern Minnesota on my families farm where we grow corn, soybeans, and pigs. Looking back on my childhood, I can see that I have always been interested in soils. I have recieved a degree in Crop and Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where many mentors helped foster and solidify my interests in all aspects of soils. I was a member of the UWRF Soil Judging team for 4 years, and will be helping the University of Minnesota Soil Judging team this year as an assistant coach. I am currently a masters student researching kura clover perrenial living mulch in corn production. In the future, I would like to take the agricultural skills I have gained in the Midwest abroad to help educate farmers in developing countries in sustainable agriculture.
